Chatfield Furniture Conservation are a small family owned furniture restoration and conservation company based on the borders of Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

Our prime location has also enabled us to develop good links with clients in Warwickshire, Gloucestershire and London.

We have concentrated on our core business for over 12 years conserving and restoring fine furniture, wooden objects and historic interiors.
This we have done this with great success and include private collectors, museums, historic houses and the fine antiques trade as our clients.

We continue to adopt a strategy of sympathetic restoration and conservation, working ethically to maintain the true historic and cultural importance of an object.

Working closely with our clients, we balance their need for time honoured skills of the highest standards and the practical issues of budget, functionality and future preservation.

Close liaison with our clients begins with an on-site inspection of an object, a detailed and accurate treatment proposal, coupled with a comprehensive estimate for the work required. This level of professionalism continues throughout the treatment of the object concluding with the delivery and handover of the item by Jamie Chatfield.

The client is always welcome to visit the workshop before or during the treatment to inspect the work and to have a ‘hands on’ explanation of the work in progress.
