Restoration of a Knibb walnut longcase clock

We were asked by a local museum to conserve this important clock. Essentially, it was in good order but was suffering from bad previous repairs. These we removed and we effected appropriate repairs to a high standard along with the consolidation of loose and lifting veneer. New bun feet were also applied and the later opaque spirit varnish was removed. The case was re-patinated using a hard black wax which we produce ourselves.
