This is now, a stunning Samuel Watson bracket clock. Unfortunately, it had been badly restored and arrived in a seemingly, unrepairable condition. However, we managed to locate a good source of double knife cut burr maple which closely matched the original and set about the task of restoring this clock. The frets were beyond repair so we made faithful copies of the originals and ebonised them. All kingwood mouldings were re-defined, having been scraped with a paint scraper by the previous restorer. Finally, all repairs were colour matched and the show wood was re-patinated using a hard wax that we produce ourselves.
